The picture survives....

If you can remember back in December I made a post about this last falls Bikes, Blues and Barbeque. And that I rode on the back of my brother's Chopper with him down Dicken Street. But that the picture was deleted from his camera and the only other place the picture was placed was on my Mom's computer. And that her computer was reformated and she last everything on it. So we have been thinking that the picture was lost forever. Well....not remembering that she had....but she had forwarded that picture to my uncle Rudy in Wyoming (who is a biker man himself...all my uncles are) and he just happen to mention it to her today. She was so excited about it that she just about came through the phone talking with him I bet. So he forwarded it on back to us. We now have the picture back. Technology.........sometimes you think it's not worth it. And then at other times you are so grateful. Here's the picture....you can look back in 2007 to see the other couple of pictures and the post with it.

Our time!

Me....

After spending a week cooped up in the house with 4 sick kids. Thank goodness they began feeling better just in time for Darin and I to take some much needed time for ourselves. Grandma stepped in to the resue and took all 4 kids for the weekend. I had already planned a month ago for he and I to have "an alone time" weekend at Big Cedar Lodge. I was so afraid we would not be able to go because of the kids being sick. God was gracious and everyone begain to heal just in time. We could do this more often....but I have to pull teeth, hair, beg and bribe....whatever it takes...to get Darin to take some alone time for us. This all started when we booked my brother a free weekend at Big Cedar but he had to cancel and so I took advantage of that and kept the date for us. It was perfect timing because this weekend Darin is flying out to Guatemala for another mission trip. The kids and I will be home alone.....and considering it's been nearing 2 years since he and I went someplace alone......it was perfect. And the weekend ended up being just that. It was everything we could ever want. I was so happy....and Darin kept saying how happy, excited he was and he kept saying he was glad we came. It was one of the most magical weekends. It was difiantly worth the wait. Thanks Grandma Ann for helping us make it happen.

Darin's Dream!

Darin is so crazy excited about his new deer. He just picked it up from the taxidermy last weekend. It looks incredible. And he was fullfilled his dream. He had always wanted to have 3 deer mounted and displayed in the house somewhere. The 2 outside deer would be facing toward the center and "the monster"would be there in the middle....it would be facing foward. He got his wish and has fullfilled his dream mount. I'm so happy for him.

Sick Kiddo's!

Here's a couple pictures of my sick kiddo's. All 4 of them were absent last week from school with the flu. Cambre ended up back at the doctor on Friday with the beginning of a secondary infection. Everyone else was getting better but she continued to run fever. They all made it back to school on Monday.....thank goodness. It was a little crazy at times.....check temps, give meds, get drinks, go potty.....oops! an accident, change pants, get a blanket, do laundry, cook (thank goodness no one was really that hungry)....needless to say....I felt like pulling my hair out at times.

Cambre's 6th Birthday!

We held Cambre's birthday party at the Fayetteville Athletic Club this year. It was incredible. The kids loved it. They had a huge tunnel playhouse, an air castle, a basketball floor, game tables like air hockey and pool, and also a dance room which the girls loved. We had a blast and Cambre and had a great time with all her friends.
